FED: Part of search for snowboarders hampered police

Extremely bad weather has postponed the steep terrain search for four missing snowboarders
in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains.

Search Commander Inspector MARTIN WOOKEY says winds were gusting up to 130 km/h and there
was a good chance of snow later today.

He says the weather means teams will not be searching area higher up the mountain, but
would concentrate on other areas.

TIM FRIEND, DEAN PINCINI as well as brothers SCOTT and PAUL BEARDSMORE have been missing
after setting out on a three-day snowboarding adventure nearly two weeks ago.

The emergency crews, which peaked at 100 searchers and four helicopters on Sunday, have now
been scaled down to 20 personnel and one helicopter as hopes of finding the four alive fade.
