Qld: Government offers jet for officials
COOLUM, Qld, Feb 27 AAP - Queensland Premier Peter Beattie today said the state governmentair wing would be made available if Commonwealth officials became stranded by the collapseof Ansett Mark II.
Mr Beattie said he was not aware of any problems at this stage, but would do what hecould to ensure delegates could get to this week's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting(CHOGM) on the Sunshine Coast.
"If we had any international leaders stranded we would pick them up in the governmentjet," Mr Beattie said.
"If there is a problem we will fix it."
