ARKEMA has developed a new Pryltex long-fibre glass-reinforced high content range with 50 and 65 per cent glass fibre contents which it says makes Pryltex one of the highest glass fibre content products in the market. It is used as a masterbatch to create glass fibre reinforced PP at varying concentrations, bringing cost savings in the purchase of GFPP. High concentrate Pryltex when diluted within polypropylene produces varying combinations of PP concentrations in the end-products of up to 30 or 40 per cent, with a final variable fibre rate as low as 10 per cent.
